Brunnenpassage has just returned from another great Living Realities. Changing Perceptions Idea Lab meeting in Athens.
Thank you Impact Hub Athens for hosting and providing space for our intense artistic research and reflection process and thank you Studio Alta and Dschungel Wien for your participation and meaningful input!
The Creative Europe cooperation project ‘Living Realities. Changing Perceptions.’ of Brunnenpassage with Studio Alta Prague, Impact Hub Athens and Dschungel Vienna is coming to a close, after two intensive and inspiring years! Our thank goes to all the contributors, participants and everybody involved into this exceptional and exciting transnational venture!
We are happy to share this short videodocumentation as a memory of our common work with all of you and hope it will also inspire others working in the field!
After weeks of rehearsals and research ‘In my dreams I feel free’ was finally performed on the 15th and 16th of December in the ArtSocialSpace Brunnenpassage. To see the exhibition ‘STAGE OF A FLIGHT’ and the performance in the same space, in a dialouge with each other, was a great experience. We were also very happy about the many nice feedbacks and the positive energy we got from the audience.
Nine young women of the project “zukunftskwizin” got a guided tour of the exhibition “Living Realties. Changing Perceptions.”. In addition to a general introduction to the subject, to the exhibition an to the participative Workshop, various artistic approaches were used to give the women the opportunity to express their own associations. A special highlight was the photography with the Polaroid camera, because this kind of photography was very new for the young women. They dealt with the themes of “Love, loss and longing” and created wonderful photographs.
In the course of the exhibition, a school class was invited and offered a guided tour as well as a workshop. Curious and with full commitment, the children took part in the process. They looked at the different works, brought in their own associations and represented the pictures with their own bodies. Afterwards they got the space and the possibility to create their own artistic work with paper and different colors. The exchange was very exciting as the children’s impressions brought a whole new perspective on the exhibition.
